In regards to the defeat of the parish sales tax renewals: in the past the Assessor’s Office has received only around $5,000 annually in the form of reimbursements for furniture, equipment, supplies and maps, in accordance with state law.
Beyond that, the Parish provides us only with office space and electricity.
We don’t anticipate any cuts and will continue to live within our means as we proceed with our work to lower your taxes.
