Each year the tax rolls are open for public inspection with the Assessor’s Office. The Public Inspection Period is held annually during a two-week period in August. Please contact our office for this year’s exact dates. This is the time to discuss your assessment. It also is the time that a taxpayer can legally file a review if an agreement with the assessor cannot be reached. Many taxpayers wait until the tax bills are sent each year to discuss their assessment. The assessor can discuss a property at any time, but a property owner cannot legally file a protest after the deadline. The deadline to file a review is the last day of the public inspection period.
