FOR NON-ELECTED BOARDS (PURSUANT TO LA R.S. 47:1705.1 ACT 840)

ALL HEARINGS AND MEETINGS TO BE HELD AT PARISH COUNCIL CHAMBERS

Reassessment readjusts the Millage rates so as to keep the total amount of anticipated taxes collected by the taxing authority the same this year as last.  This does not include 2015 total annual growth.

After millages are generally initially rolled down and taxpayers’ anticipated 2016 taxes are initially lowered, they have the option to raise millages (taxes) with a two-thirds majority vote.

Please make plans to attend to have your voice heard.
