THE LEGAL PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE 2025 REASSESSMENT TAX ROLL PERIOD IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2025, THROUGH FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 2025, AT 4:30 P.M.
The legal deadline to file a 2025 Assessment Review with the St. Tammany Parish Assessor’s Office is the last day of the Public Inspection of the Tax Roll period, Friday, August 29, 2025. To allow property owners more time to check their assessments the tax roll may be available online as early as August 1, 2025. You may check your assessment HERE.
2025 Assessment Review Applications are available here: www.stpao.org/
If a timely 2025 Assessment Review has been filed with the Assessor’s Office and you want to submit an Appeal to the Board of Review, the deadline to do so is Monday, September 15, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. By law, you must have first filed a timely Assessment Review application with the St. Tammany Parish Assessor’s Office before filing an Appeal with the Parish Board of Review.
Any Assessment Reviews received after the legal deadline forfeit any rights to appeal and are processed after all timely submitted reviews and Board of Review appeals are completed.
Storm Review Applications may be filed anytime there is a hurricane, flood, tornado, etc., regardless of normal deadlines.
2024 parish millage rates, breakdowns, and comparisons can be viewed here. 2025 millage rates, both adjusted and adopted, will be available in the fall of 2025, after they are approved by various boards and the Louisiana Legislative Auditor.
Any additions, deletions, or changes made to the 2024 Tax Roll as a result of an Assessment Review after the Tax Roll has been certified in October will be reflected by “change orders” approved by the Louisiana Tax Commission. This process can take up to six – eight weeks. Change orders will not be visible online until the 2025 proposed Tax Roll is posted in August 2025
Please do not wait until you receive your tax bill in November to attempt to file an Assessment Review. All property owners are strongly encouraged to check assessments, verify mailing and physical addresses, and any special assessments, exemptions, etc., every year in AUGUST.
Checking your assessment on this website is a public service and has no charge. We will never ask for credit card information or payment of any kind.
Everything we do at the Assessor’s Office is done by LAW. Data used to assess property for the 2024 reassessment is from the LEGALLY DESIGNATED time period between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023. This is required by the LA Tax Commission.
There is a lot of misinformation being shared currently on social media that demonstrates a lack of knowledge and understanding of the taxing process and the Assessor’s role in it. To educate yourself with FACTUAL information about millages and how your taxes increase click HERE.
When searching by property address, don’t use address suffixes, such as “street” or “drive” or “road” for better results.
Our offices will be closed
